These smartie readers improved their reading scores from winter to spring by 27-44 words per minute

Our four qualifying team members scored well amongst the best in the state during the first three rounds. Mara Mondt received a nearly perfect score for her dramatic interpretation piece, and Addison Gottschalk placed consistently in the top four ranks for her event. Unfortunately, these impressive scores were not enough to break into the semi-final round. However, the Improvised Duet Acting (I.D.A.) team of Kennedy Stumpf and Kipra Reed ranked 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd in their respective preliminary rounds, propelling them into the semi-final competition. They rank within the top 12 in the state for their I.D.A. performance, earning 134 quality points overall for the day.

It is Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for all you do for our school and community.

There will be a summer, college-level, Public Speaking class offered on the SES campus. The course will be taught by Mr. Terry Anderson through Salina Area Technical College. It will run from 6/3/24 - 6/27/24. The class will meet 6pm - 9pm daily Monday thru Thursday. If your student is a current sophomore, junior, or senior they can sign up by emailing Ryan Weber at Salina Area Technical College. This class is open to students from other schools, so feel free to share this with a student that would like to join us.

Kindergarten students learned about the "Super silent what's your name E" today and did more practice with "Defender C".

There will be a public facilities meeting tonight and tomorrow night at the District Office. Tonight's meeting is at 7:00 p.m.

We wanted to get the attached information out to our local schools and programs for school-age children regarding Sunflower Summer. The Sunflower Summer program offers families free admission to attractions across the state, throughout the summer (May 25-August 11). With over 220+ locations participating (including 7 right here in Saline County!), this is great way for families to create memories together and explore our state.

Please join us in honoring our retirees!
