Southeast of Saline

Parent Education Program

P.A.T.

Southeast of Saline Parent Education program is available for any family that lives in our district and has an infant, toddler, or preschooler.  We provide monthly home visits with fun activities for families to do together that promotes healthy development during the first 5 years of life.  The curriculum is researched based and activities are mostly home-made toys that you can make for your child, too.

The majority of the program is done in your home when your schedule permits, but there are also group events that families are invited to.  We have weekly storytimes at the Gypsum Community Library and Tumbling Tuesday the 2nd Tuesday of each month during the regular school year.  We also have occasional storytimes at Rolling Hills Zoo and information about community events that pertain to young families.

As part of the home visits, we provide a health, hearing, vision, and developmental screening to make sure that your child is developing on track.  If there are concerns, we connect you with additional resources.

Please call us to enroll in this fun, free, parenting program.  We have openings and would love to get to know you and your family.

Mrs. LaNell Keeler

I have been the Coordinator/Parent Educator with Southeast of Saline Parent Education Program- Parents as Teachers since 1996.  I love my job and enjoy meeting all the new families with young children before they are old enough to go to school.

I am married and my husband, Brad, and I are both Southeast of Saline Alumni.  We have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.  We live on a farm with lots of cattle and some cats & kittens. I love to work with flowerbeds and read. I have lead a preschool storytime at the Gypsum Community Library on Friday mornings for several years.  When we are done with the farm chores, my husband and I enjoy time with our family and traveling.

 Mrs. Holly Hartman

Hi! My name is Holly Hartman and I am a Parents as Teachers Family Educator for USD 306 Southeast of Saline. I'm thankful to be supporting families in our community during the first 5 years of their parenting journey!

I am proud to be part of an SES family! My husband graduated from Southeast of Saline in 2002, and my daughter and twin boys are currently students at Southeast. I also had the privilege of teaching fifth grade for five years at SES.

Professionally, I have taken on many roles within the education field. I have experience in many settings including childcare, elementary education, early childhood special education and home visiting. I've had a lifelong passion for working with children! I love being part of Parents as Teachers and working with families in Southeast of Saline’s community, helping children grow and flourish in their early childhood years.
