We finally get to host the 3A State Music Festival again!! For those of you who are new, this is a huge event that we are notoriously known for hosting very well...like most everything we do around here!! 😉 This event involves over 1500 students and about 100 adult volunteers. In addition to that, every SES high school music student is expected to help work at least one shift, and many JH music kids help as well. (The high school jobs aren't on this list) This definitely requires a large workforce! So, this is my first email to beg for adult volunteers!! Let me know how you would like to help. Festival date is Saturday, April 30th....all day. Below is a list of jobs we need to fill. Below that is a description of the jobs. PLEASE let Mr. Keasling or I know how you can help. Direct people to dressing rooms, bathrooms and practice rooms. Parking Coordinator - ride a gator and help park buses, etc Hospitality Room - keep teachers, bus drivers, accompanists and judges fed and watered and happy with the best snacks and lunch EVER!!! Candy Concession supervisor - supervise students selling candy, pop, etc. Make sure we don't get robbed blind...help with math, etc Kitchen Concession worker - prepare, serve and clean up food for concessions, help organize student workers doing the same. Cash Register - work outside kitchen concession calculating and collecting money Clean up - put rooms back in order...move pianos, stands, chairs, desks, etc. Reach out to Keri Boley to get your name on the list!

Southeast of Saline is looking for a permanent addition to our Food Services team. Immediate opening, full time during school days, benefits qualified. Work the same days as your own children are in school. Contact the district office for details. Application on school website under district tab.

5-8 Band Concert - Tuesday, April 5th - HS Lower Gym - Students will need to be seated in their spots in the lower gym, with instruments and music, by 6:50 pm. - Concert starts at 7:00 pm.

Disc Golf course at Southeast is OPEN for public use. 12 hole course starts in the North East corner of the parking lot. Please avoid the track but feel free to use the disc golf course this weekend.

Track facility is closed Saturday and Sunday at SES as contractors come out to repaint the lines. Southeast will be hosting a few meets this year and can always use volunteers to run field events. If you are interested in helping please contact Mr. Korf.

Deadline to sign up for the pep bus for today (Thursday) will be at 12:40pm. Hurry and get your spot if you want to go. Let's show that Trojan pride and support the Lady Trojans.

We are having a Pep bus (or two) today to go support the SES Lady Trojans! There will be three pick up locations - pick the one that is best for you. Pick up at 1:15 in Gypsum - Main Street in front of the fire station. Catch the bus at SES - on east side at 1:30 Pick up in Assaria at the city building/community center leaving there at 1:45. Everyone needs to sign up on the google doc that will be shared in a few minutes. Even if you were signed up before - do it again. We are starting new. If you have questions or can’t get the google doc to work email Ms Wright rwright@usd306.org Bus will return directly after the game. Time will depend upon game time and road conditions, should be to Assaria around 6:45. Let’s get out and support our Lady Trojans! And be safe

Southeast of Saline will be canceling school for the remainder of this week. We are under a winter storm warning with significant snows projected throughout the day on Thursday. The girls basketball team is scheduled to play Thursday afternoon. If the tournament is not canceled then our team will make the trip to Hutchinson. We encourage only adult drivers to the games. The music trip will depart as scheduled unless you are contacted directly by the sponsors, again we encourage only adult drivers. The boys basketball team won their game today and will play again on Friday. We will not hold school on Friday due to weather and the basketball schedule. Next week is spring break. Enjoy your extended days off and be safe with the wintery roads.

The school gathered outside this afternoon to send off the boys basketball team. With the win the boys will play on Friday. Girls play on Thursday.

Southeast of Saline will delay the start of school for Monday due to the snow. 2 hour delay, school starts at 10:15. Be safe and encourage young drivers to slow down on the roads tomorrow.

The girls punch their tickets to the state tournament with a hard fought victory over Riley County. Look for the brackets soon.

Minneapolis gym was LOUD. Boys and girls will play on Saturday to punch their tickets to State! We need to pack the gym. Make it a home court for the purple and white.
