SES had three students nominated by their teachers to receive the Salina Optimist Club's Unsung Hero Awards. This banquet honors one student in each of the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes. The Unsung Heros award recognizes students who have overcome a challenge or life events but have still positively influenced their school with a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and a commitment to excellence.
Congratulations to Jackson Kempke (12), Emma Deatherage (10), and Clayton Shelby (11)
