Friday SES Events

A big thank you goes out to Jessica Scott who volunteered the entire school year in Mrs. McBride's class. She has been helping the kindergarten students become sight word experts! Today we celebrated by having a sight word, popcorn ball, fight. The popcorn balls were actually styrofoam balls, with sight words written on them. When the students read the sight word, they could throw their "popcorn ball". The kids had so much fun. A celebration well deserved for these sight word experts!

Today 4th and 5th grade STUCO members delivered books to Gypsum, DG Market, Sunset School, Jerry Ivey Park, and a neighborhood little library!

Senior baseball players honored during a rain delay. A lot of baseball played with more to come.

Senior softball recognition was quickly moved inside due to a flash storm. Impressive record for their career as Lady Trojan Softball players.

Attached is a required public notice about the water at Southeast of Saline. Due to a shipping error a water sample to be tested was late in arriving. The water was and is fine, this notice is about missing the testing date.

Spring Sing was a success! Great job by all the 7-12 singers in choir this year for all their accolades!

Eighth graders are reading The Outsiders in ELA class. Today Officer Long helped stage a crime scene by a "park fountain" so students could study evidence and make predictions before reading. He also shared samples of report writing that comes with his job and the importance of facts and witness statements. Students were then tasked with their own writing of facts while reading Chapter 4. Thanks for the help Officer Long!
