We have several students that spend half their day at Salina Area Technical College earning a college degree while also attending SES. They take their core classes at SES and their electives at SATC. Hayden and Riley are in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. Last night they partnered with Cottonwood Elementary to host the annual Parent Engagement Night. This year’s theme was Literacy Night, where our ECE students planned fun, educational activities for Cottonwood Elementary’s preschool classes and their families.
They had a fantastic turnout, our students gained valuable experience, families enjoyed quality time together, and the children had an absolute blast! 🎉

Attention Nurses (LPN, RN). Southeast of Saline is looking for substitute nurses to occasionally fill in for our students. If your schedule allows for availability, even if only for a specific day per week, and you are open to serving our students once in a while, then we need you. It may only amount to once or twice a year, but it would be of great service on those days. Retirees would be welcome as long as your license is still valid. If you are interested in serving in this role, or would like more information, call the district office and talk to Kelsey.
The SES Theatre Department will present "Charlotte's Web" this Saturday, October 4th at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Don't miss this one-night only event!

In math class today, 7th graders created shrinky dinks to finish off their proportional reasoning unit. The students measured the original design and final design to calculate the scale factor. They will gift their creations to their Little Trojan next week.

Senior recognition as these five girls play their last game on their home court. Best of luck in the remainder of your schedule. Proud of the purple pride.

Highschool Volleyball tonight at 5:00pm. Join us for Senior Night!

There are a lot of "behind the scenes" actions that take place for every field trip. Today all three Kindergarten Classes are feeling blessed to see a theatrical performance of Pete the Cat. A big thank you goes out to our administration, transportation department, school secretary, parents club, and everyone who helps make field trips happen for our students!

Here is what the kitchen is serving in October.

Kaden Stein was a guest speaker for our Intro to Officiating students today. It was great to have him share his story of how he got into officiating at a young age. He provided good advice to them as they start their officiating careers.

Starting this week, we will be focusing on Respect as our character trait for the next 4 weeks. This is a great word that all ages understand and relate to.

The lunch menu has been modified for this week.
