In preparation for the Super Bowl, JH and HS music classes are learning conducting patterns. The Nathional Anthem is a 3/4 pattern...except for one of the most famous performances ever! Whitney Houston performed it in 4/4...and that's ONE of the reasons her performance stands out from others!

Southeast of Saline FFA members presented farm safety education in the fourth grade this week. Fourth graders will be working on farm safety posters in their free time that will be judged at the county level by the Saline County Farm Bureau board of directors, and the top poster will be submitted for the Kansas Farm Bureau farm safety poster contest. Today the SES jazz band played at the Hutchinson Community College Jazz Festival. The jazz band kids also got to work with a college jazz professor during a clinic session.
