
Pink Out for Cancer fundraiser was an overwhelming success. Thanks to Jill and the student council for this benefit to Tammy Walker. Unfortunately much of the pink is covered by coats tonight.

This week in computer class the 1st graders got to code Bee Bots.




The Ned Show is coming to Southeast of Saline Elementary on Thursday, October 19th. The assembly will take place in the elementary gym at 9:00 am. NED's Mindset Mission is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never give up, Encourage others and Do your best. During the assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor and yo-yo tricks.


JH NCAA VB Tournament tomorrow at SES. The Trojans are the #1 seed and will play at 10. Admission is $5 adult $3 K-12 students. No passes accepted.

A group of seniors toured Great Plains Manufacturing in Kipp and South Salina last week. They each have an opportunity to be a part of a new internship program that is being developed for 2nd semester. These students will have the opportunity to learn hands-on in the manufacturing industry. Upon completing their internship we anticipate they will earn scholarship money for post-secondary education and training.



Trojan Cross Country continues their dominance of the NCAA. Both Boys and Girls bring home the league titles today. Great Job Trojans!



Another great night for the JH Trojans! A team VB splits two games, B teams sweeps and C team splits against Minneapolis. Football wins as well! Trojan Pride!

Did your High Schooler sign up for Fall Media Day? There are spots for volleyball, football, cross country, band, cheer, and dance team. The publications class does an AMAZING job taking these photos. It is $10 at the door and students should email Mrs. Miller to sign up.


19 students from SES attended the KU & SRHC Healthcare Awareness Day at Salina Regional Health Center. They could choose from 22 different sessions from Imaging Technology to Auditory to Family Medicine Physician. There was something for everyone! Each session discussed the education needed, a typical day, what to expect, and some had hands-on activities. We even saw SES alumni Kate Weis! She was on the Nursing Student Panel.

Congratulations to our Academic Letter earners. These students maintained a 3.4 cumulative grade point average for the previous academic year. We present these in the fall for the previous year. All senior letters will be mailed home (since they are post-high school).
