The Jester awards were held last weekend in Wichita honoring high school musicals across Kansas. SES had a huge group of nominees and one winner. Olivia won for the Best Pre-High School performer. The cast had the honor of performing on stage during the awards program. Our 52 cast members on stage was the largest cast they have ever had performing in the 20 years of the Jester Awards!!




League Art occupies in our building today as students display their work in the upper gym and participate in clinics in the lower gym.

This morning we held our Trojan Choice Awards ceremony. Teachers each chose a student that represents the character of a Trojan.

The USD306 Board of Education celebrated the students in the Top 10% of each class with a luncheon and speaker. Students enjoyed pizza and listening to SES Alum Kristin Blomquist.

SES AfterProm will be having a wrap up meeting on Wednesday, April 20th at 6:30pm at The District Eat and Play in Salina Central Mall. All Junior and Senior parents are invited to provide feedback. All Sophomore parents are invited to learn and get started for next year.

KDOT public hearing over the K-4 improvement project has a good turnout.


The SES concert choir received a 1 rating at State Large group contest. The choir is pictured with their plaque, teacher, and accompanist. What a team, congrats!


Reminder that the KDOT will be hosting their second public meeting for feedback on the K-4 Improvement plan this afternoon in the SES HS commons. Please use the east doors. Come and go format to review the engineering plans and ask questions of the designers. 4:30 to 6:30

Due to the multiple weather closings/delays over the past month, the Elementary Art Show originally scheduled for tonight has been postponed. More information to follow.

Promenade is ready to start.


The Drop Off and Pick Up map has been updated. The West entrance has been discontinued for drop off so the map was updated to show drop off for student use of the north doors. We ask that students use the marked cross walk while in the parking lot. Some elementary student still exit the west doors, there are no changes for the exit points in the afternoon. Students should not arrive at school prior to 7:55.


Prom is Saturday, April 2nd
The Junior Class welcomes you to come and watch the Promenade beginning at 7:20pm in front of the Masonic Temple, 366 S Santa Fe. If attending, please do not park in the Temple parking lot as this will be used for the valet parking of student vehicles. We encourage parents to park down Santa Fe and across the street from the Temple. Entry into the Temple will be reserved for students attending prom and the sponsors.
