USD 306 Southeast of Saline

LaVone Hopkins is our September Student of the Month at Southeast of Saline High School. He is a senior and the son of Jody Thayer. His favorite thing about SES is how you fell like you belong. "It's like another family with friends as siblings." Another thing is how people show up to games and different activities to show their support for one another. His greatest achievement is not something he did alone, but as a team when they won state football and made it back the next year. His hope is that as a team we can make it back this year and add another ring to his hand and another banner in the main gym. LaVone is involved in football and also in Madz since his sophomore year. In the future, he is not sure what he wants to do but he is considering finding a construction job and to start somewhere to build from.
