Paedyn Merrill has been selected as the Athlete/Activity member of the month for Southeast of Saline. Paedyn is a junior and the daughter of Keri and Chad Eilert. Her favorite thing about SES is the culture and family atmosphere. Her greatest achievement has been achieving high-honor roll every year while being actively involved in activities such as Softball, managing Basketball, FCCLA, FBLA, NHS, Student Council, SAFE, TRUST and Science Club. In her nomination, a faculty member stated “She is the best teammate that anybody could ask for. She gives her best effort at all times and never backs down from a challenge, no matter the situation. She willingly accepts any role as long as it benefits the team, always putting others before herself. Paedyn is the type of kid that you can ask to do anything and it will happen, done with care and determination. Often, you don’t even have to ask her to step up—she naturally recognizes what needs to be done and gets right to work. Her selflessness, work ethic, and positive attitude make her an invaluable part of any team.” In the future, she plans to attend either KU or Wichita State with a major in accounting. Her advice to others is “you need to put yourself out there! Get outside your comfort zone!”
