Athlete of the Month

Annabelle Soell has been selected as our March Athlete of the Month for Southeast of Saline. Annabelle is a junior at SES and the daughter of Janie Crable and Tilden Crable. Her favorite thing about Southeast is the environment, teachers and coaches. Since she has been at SES, they have always supported and pushed her as a student and athlete. Having that available has allowed her to grow and set her up to be successful in the future. Her greatest achievement would be this past weekend were she was the 321A Girls Wrestling State Runner-Up. It was not the ending that she wanted, but the support she got from people and her coaches has been unmatched. Aside from wrestling at SES, Annabelle also wrestles for CKYL and at SES she is involved in Softball, Volleyball, Club Softball, Science Club and SAFE. Her nominator stated that she is a "hard-working athlete who also makes sure she gets it done in the classroom. She had an amazing state wrestling tournament to finish 2nd place in Hays." In the future, Annabelle plans to go to college and pursue a career in Radiology. She also plans to wrestle in college. Her advice to others is "I think being involved in very important. It's gonna be really hard sometimes when you're busy, but it gives you good life skills when you are older and is always worth it. So, I would say push through even tough times because you're just setting yourself up better later on." Congratulations Annabelle!
