USD 306 Southeast of Saline

Mrs. Rachel Miller has been selected as our staff member of the month for Southeast of Saline Jr./Sr. High School. Mrs. Miller has taught for nine years with the last 5 being in 10th grade English at Southeast. Her favorite thing about SES is the students. She says they are all uniquely wonderful. She feels like they become a family very quickly here at Southeast, which makes moving on to the next grade very bittersweet. Her greatest achievement aside from being a mom to bennet and Elsie was being selected as the graduation speaker for the class of 2024. In her nomination by the students at SES, the said "She always knows how to brighten up a class and makes sure everyone feels comfortable. She truly tries to make a real connection with each student. Mrs. Miller is an amazing teacher this year for me and anyone in my class. She is always trying to help us students when we are struggling. Even if she doesn't understand the work we are working on. I love having her as a teacher this year." Mrs. Miller received her Bachelors degree from Kansas Wesleyan University and her Masters degree from Emporia State University. Mrs. Miller wants to give a shout out to her mother Shelley as well as her husband Austin children Bennet and Elsie. Her message to students is "I love you all and I am so thankful to play even a small role in your lives. Thank you for keeping my days here at SES interesting! Love you, bye!" Great job Mrs. Miller!
