USD 306 Southeast of Saline

Dawn Rohrer has been selected as our December Staff Member of the Month at Southeast of Saline. Mrs. Rohrer teachers English at SES and has spent the last 21 of her 30 years in education here. She received her bachelors and masters degrees from Kansas State University and is a graduate of SES. When asked about her favorite thing about SES, Mrs. Rohrer says it is hard to choose just one thing. As an alumni, she feels that SES has always been about being at home to her. She loves the students, faculty, staff and community that make it that way. Mrs. Rohrer has one son, Cooper, who is a freshman at SES. When being nominated, her nominator said "Mrs. Rohrer is always available to help students with various projects even if it is some other teacher's class. She has helped numerous students graduate and be successful in life." Her advice to students is that "kindness and effort go farther than you think. Both shape who you become long after you leave the classroom. Even on tough days, choosing to work hard and treat people well will open doors you can't yet see." Congratulations Mrs. Rohrer!
