Athlete of the Month

Brayden Walker is our November Athlete of the Month at Southeast of Saline.  Brayden is a senior at SES and the son of Scott and Mandy Walker.  His favorite thing about SES is the traditions.  SES has had continued success in all of their sports.  When asked about his greatest achievement, Brayden said it was last year at the state track meet.  He finished high enough to earn all-state honors in all four of his events.  Aside from track, he is also involved in Cross-Country where he finished 2nd at state and led his team to the state championship this year.  When nominating him, his nominator said “Brayden Walker is a dedicated and consistent athlete who continually pushes himself to improve and leads by example. His strong work ethic shows both in and out of the season, putting in extra time to reach his goals. Recently, Brayden and his teammates demonstrated incredible perseverance during a challenging regional cross country meet, earning a first-place team finish and the opportunity to compete at the state championship. His commitment, leadership, and determination make him an exceptional representative of our athletic programs.”  In the future, he plans to run at college, but is undecided on where that will be at this point.  Brayden’s advice to others to get involved is to “stay busy in junior high and do three sports so you can find your best fit.”  Congrats Brayden!
