Staff of the Month

Mr. Scott Emme has been selected by his peers as the Staff Member of the Month at Southeast of Saline for January.  This is his 43rd year at Southeast of Saline and his 44th year in Education.  His favorite thing about SES is the kids he gets to work with.  He enjoys the opportunity to see them in different subjects as well as their sports and activities.  These things make teaching very rewarding to Mr. Emme.  His greatest achievement is his family.  He says they deserve all of the the credit, not him.  He is married to his wife Patty and they have two sons, Kyle and Ryan.  He is a proud grandfather of two grandchildren, Paisleigh and Callum.  He received his bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University as well as his Masters' Degree.  When nominated, his fellow staff member said that " He is not one for accolades, but he has such a vast wealth of knowledge, and he does a fantastic job of transferring this knowledge to our students. He is firm, yet incredibly caring, and he challenges and mentors a great deal of students who tend to fly under the education radar."  When asked about what message he would like to give to students, Mr. Emme said "Life is about What Else - What If!  What else could you do - What if you did this."  Great job Mr. Emme!
